I replaced my Samsung GALAXY Note II with a Samsung Galaxy S6 recently - it comes with the option of changing up the TouchWiz UI with different themes, as well as a theme store. I wanted the COGUL Black theme that I’d read about, but I couldn’t find that, so I decided to give BMW’s i8 theme a look.

Aside from the different color palette for TouchWiz and the redesigned icons for the basic apps, the theme also has an i8 wallpaper that shifts around beneath the widgets and app icons as you tilt the phone around. It’s kind of like iOS, but not quite the same.

Enjoying mine but I upgraded from a razr maxx hd so it feels like a huge leap in hardware.

Compared to my Note II, it’s definitely a step up in a lot of different areas thanks to things like the 7420 CPU and better camera. I can’t even see the 2K screen’s pixels. I’m more worried about dropping the S6, but I’ve gotten a Spigen Neo Hybrid case that complements the phone pretty well. I don’t mind the S6’s lack of a microSD slot, as I’m fine with the 32 GB (my Note II had 16 GB), but I do wish that it had water resistance like the S5.

I didn’t really notice the difference in screen size, but I’m still using it two-handed since that’s how I used my Note II and its flip cover. I’m still getting used to accessing phone or app settings via methods other than the capacitive Menu key that my Note II had, since the S6 has a capacitive Recent Apps key in its place.

The battery tends to run out more quickly, which doesn’t really surprise me since the capacity is smaller, but it charges back up in a shorter amount of time due to the fast charging - you can shorten the charging time even further by switching on the Ultra Power Saving Mode.

In short, I like it. I’d like a larger battery, water resistance and a less prominent camera, and I’d probably get an S7 if it sported those features and didn’t compromise on anything else that the S6 already has, but my S6 been great so far.
